This section includes notes about cars 616 and 617 within the 600 series. The notes are handwritten on the back of recycled paper. [Transcription of the handwritten notes:] Express Trail Cars #616 & #617 The Southern Traction Co. bought ~~~ 10 pass trailers #400 - #409. Some of these trailers were used to make Denison Div. passenger cars, and some of them were turned into baggage trailers, one of them is #617 in use today. C.T. Dickinson 10/31/48 Was 617 rebuilt From one of the 400 series pass trailers. They look much alike. * Yes. How many of the 400 series pass[enger] trailers were there and what were the numbers? Where were they used, and where were they retired from service? * No trailers were needed after about 1931. 10 of these cars #400 - #409. C.T. Dickinson 10/31/48 The 400 type trailers in South Div. were American Car Co. St Louis. C.T. Dickinson 12/28/52 617 was created from past trailer 400 type C.T. Dickinson 1/28/53 Interurban cars 400 - 409 bought 1913 W. Silvus 3/1/53 [cont'd in CP.2006.CL.1-122 ZS] |
