Texas Electric Railway Return to Questionnaire (unsigned) to the Interstate Commerce Commision to abandon rail operations in total. This 32-page document was eventually signed, notarized and submitted to the Interstate Commerce Commission. [page 22 transcribed] The following motor bus lines operate between Dallas, McKinney, Sherman and Denison over U.S. Highway 75: Dixie-Sunshine Trailways ……… 6 round trip schedules daily between Dallas and Denison; 2 round trip schedules daily, except Sunday, between Dallas and McKinney; 1 round trip schedule daily, except Sunday, between Dallas and Sherman; Southwestern Greyhound Lines . 6 round trip schedules daily between Dallas and Denison; Santa Fe Trailways ..…………… 5 round trip schedules daily between Dallas and Denison; Mooney Motor Coaches ……… 8 round trip schedules daily between Dallas and McKinney From the above it will be noted that the following motor bus schedules are now operated over U.S. Highway 75 in competition with Applicant: Between Dallas and Denison ……………17 round trip schedules Between Dallas and Sherman …………..18 round trip schedules Between Dallas and McKinney ………….28 round trip schedules In addition to the above Dixie-Sunshine Trailways operates 3 round trip schedules daily between Dallas and Sherman, via Celina; and Mooney Motor Coaches operates 3 round trip schedules daily between McKinney and Sherman, via Greenville. Dallas-Waco Division United States Highway 77, in connection with State Highway 342, closely parallels Applicant's line between Dallas and Waco, Texas. These are hard surfaced all weather roads of concrete or asphalt construction. Central Freight Lines, Inc. serves all points between Dallas, Waxahachie, Hillsboro and Waco, handling both intrastate and interstate tonnage. Red Arrow Freight Lines, Inc. serves all points between Dallas and Waco, except Forreston, Italy and Milford, handling both intrastate and interstate tonnage. The following common carrier truck lines operate into and out of Dallas, serving Hillsboro, Abbott, West and Waco on both intrastate and interstate tonnage: Brown Express Houston & North Texas Motor Freight Lines, Inc. Southern Express, Inc. Sproles-Red Ball Lines, Inc. Johnson Motor Lines-Johnson Transport Co., Inc. operate between Dallas and Waco, Texas, via Ft. Worth, Stephenville and Dublin, Texas. The following additional truck lines traverse this highway handling interstate tonnage: East Texas Motor Freight Lines Fisher Truck Line Herrin Transportation Co. Roadway Express, Inc. Strickland Transportation Co., Inc.
