This section includes notes about car 601 within the 600 series. The notes are typed on the back of recycled paper. [Transcription of the typed notes:] Express Trail Car #601 (Existing information would seem to indicate that there was both a (1st)#601 and a (2nd)#601. The disposition of (1st)#601 is unknown) ----- Southern Traction Company, in 1913, as part of its original equipment order, purchased two new express trail cars from American Car Company, of which #601 was one. ----- Texas Electric Railway, in 1922, built one new (?) express trail car, numbered #601. This car, #601, was used as an express trail car until the final days of Texas Electric Railway Company in 1948, at which time it was dismantled. See (1st)#359 [handwritten] |
