This section includes notes about cars 618 through 620 within the 600 series. The notes are handwritten on the back of recycled paper. [Transcription of the handwritten notes:] [cont'd from CP.2006.CL.1-122 ZX] These small cars 100 to 105 were used only in emergency on North end because they were too small to handle the crowds, sometimes they would use them and a trailer - looked funny to see the small motor pulling the old long trailer. I had a little chat with Mr Parker this AM, and he told me that the first three numbers were made into parlor cars, so I think the last dope I gave you is correct. C.T. Dickenson 2/4/54 Certainly cars #100 - #105 inclusive operated between Dallas and Waxahachie for a short period of time while the line from Waxahachie to Waco was being built. For how long was this operation continued? *The DST Co (cars) operated about 1 year before the line was built thru to Waco. When you say that these six cars had only one number on them, I suppose you mean that they still... [cont'd in CP.2006.CL.1-122 ZZ] |
