This section includes notes about car 3 / 352 / 951 within the 350-399 series. The notes are typed on the back of recycled paper. [Transcription of the typed notes:] Passenger Coach Motor #3 - #352 Texas Traction Company, in 1907, as part of its original equipment order, purchased ten new 600 volt two-man passenger coach motors from St Louis Car Company, of which #3 was one. In 1913 this car, #3, was renumbered #352, in accordance with the combined numbering scheme of Southern Traction Company and Texas Traction Company (integrated with both companies), and was assigned the same tasks as formerly. In 1917 this car, #352, was transferred to the then formed Texas Electric Railway, where it continued as the same type, bearing the same number and was assigned the same tasks as formerly given it by Texas Traction Company. This car, #352, was used as a 600 volt two-man passenger coach motor by Texas Electric Railway until 1928, at which time it was withdrawn from service, rebuilt and renumbered to #951, after which it was returned to service as a 600 volt freight motor. This car, #951, was used as a 600 volt freight motor until the final days of Texas Electric Railway Company in 1948, at which time it was dismantled. |
