Texas Electric Railway Steam Gauge Video Productions Presents - Texas Electric Railway; Originally shot on 8mm and 16mm film by George Roush, L. R. "Tex" Dickenson, and C. D. Savage from the Johnnie J. Myers Collection. There's a color episode (31 mins.) and a black & white episode (20 mins.). Music no narration can be heard. A sketched map of the route is included in the case. Color episode includes: Texas Electric Railway in 1938 showing cars as they travel the lines in Dallas, Corsicana, Waco, McKinneym, and Allen. The Dallas and Waco terminals can be seen and the Monroe Shops. TER 1940 includes Plano, cows on the track, Dallas Terminal, McKinney, Sherman, and Richardon. TER 1943 includes the Dallas Interurban Building, Dallas Terminal, West, Elm Mott, Abbott, Hillsboro, Italy, Forreston, Waxahachie, Red Oak. Lancaster, Melissa, McKinney, Waco, Waco Freight Terminal, Brazos River. Charley Dickenson, motorman, can be seen in the video. TER 1947 includes Dallas Interurban Terminal, Oak Cliff, Trinity Heights Viaducts, a Freight Motor, Abbott, Red Oak, Sherman, Waxahachie, Forreston, Italy, and Trinity River. TER 1948 includes Waxahachie, Ash, Forreston, Waco, Brazos River, Bellmead, Italy, Trinity Heights, Dallas, Oak Cliff, Trinity River, Allen, Anna, Howe, Denison. Ending with cars on the last day, December 31, 1948. Black and White episode includes: Begins with TER 1943 with cars going through Waco, Dallas, Bellmead, Lakeview, Elm Mott, West, Abbott, Hillsboro, Milford, Italy, Forreston, Waxahachie TER 1947 includes Hillsboro, Abbott, view of freight cars, boxmotor, and the Texas Special, West, Waco, Brazos River, Waco Transit Company Car TER 1948 includes Waxahachie, Red Oak, Trinity Heights, Hillsboro, Dallas, and Dallas Interurban Station. Ending with two cars going from Trinity Heights into Dallas. |
