Texas Electric Railway paycheck stub No. 23489. This stub was for a half month's work and included payment to M. A. "Buddy" Morrow for both regular and overtime hours. Deductions in the amount of $22.51 were made for 5 3/4% CTA of 1937, So. Assn. or S. W. Life, and Federal Income Tax. Regular hourly pay rate used to calculate wages was .97; over-time hourly rate used to calculate wages was $1.47. The overtime hourly wage rate was about 50% more than the regular hourly wage rate. |
