Texas Electric Railway Pass 1922, No. 69042; tan paper with black and red print. This pass was assigned to Mr. R. F. Hooker, Agent, C B Ry [Cotton Belt]. Mr. Hooker was a Telegrapher. The pass, from Waco to Italy, is dated Dec 1, 1922. At the bottom of the pass, is printed: GOOD FOR ONE TRIP ONLY, until [Jan 1] 192[3] when countersigned by JAS. P. GRIFFIN [stamp] [signature of Burr Martin] Form 90 General Manager. On the left side, vertically is: Countersigned: [Jas. P. Griffin] On the right side, vertically is printed: NOT TRANSFERABLE On the back of the pass is printed: CONDITIONS. --------------- This pass is not transferable, and is void if presented by any other than the person to whom issued, or if any alteration, addition or erasure is made upon it, and in such case shall be taken up and full fare collected. This pass is issued and accepted as a gratuity and the person accepting it assumes all risk of accident, and expressly agrees that this company shall not be liable under any circumstances, whether by negligence of its agents or otherwise, for injury to person or property of the person using this pass. This pass is not good for transportation of any person who is prohibited from receiving free transportation under the Interstate Commerce Act or the Anti-Pass Laws of Texas. Following this statement, on the line for the user's signature is handwritten in blue ink R F Hooker. Under the signature line is printed: (Sign here in presence of conductor on going trip.) Over the top of the 'Conditions' is an upside down, square stamp, in blue ink, that reads: Texas Electric - Railway - DEC 31 '22 G._As.OFFICE |
