Texas Electric Railway Employment Agreement effective 1 January 1947; pages 16-17. This pocket-sized, 52 page book, documented employment regulations for various classes of railroad workers. [pages 16-17 transcribed] [cont'd from page 15] off, will, if found guilty of no offense, be paid straight time rate on the minute basis for time so consumed. If found guilty, no time will be allowed. ARTICLE 12 Whereabouts All Linemen, Linemans Helpers, Substation Maintenance Men, Substation Repairmen, Substation Repairmans Helpers, Track and Bridge Foremen and Welder-Bonders shall notify the proper supervisory officer where they can be reached at nights and on Sundays and holidays. ARTICLE 13 Service Performed by Other Employes [sic] Employes [sic] (including supervisory officers) in all departments covered by this agreement, and also employes [sic] other than those covered by this agreement, in addition to their regular assigned duties, may perform inspection, maintenance, repair, construction, dismantling, operate substation equipment, and such service as boosting, road tests, work train, commuter train and similar service, when so assigned and directed by the Company. ARTICLE 14 Movement of Interurban Equipment Between Monroe Shops and Dallas Terminals The movement of Interurban equipment between Monroe Shops and the Dallas Interurban Building, and intermediate territory, shall not be considered train service, but shall be handled in such manner and ---16--- under such rules and regulations as the Company may determine. Any employe [sic] performing this service shall be paid not less than trainman's rate of pay for actual time worked. ARTICLE 15 Pay Check, Pay Period (a) When there is a shortage equal to one day's pay in the pay of an employe [sic], upon his request check will be issued to cover the shortage, otherwise the amount will be included in his next pay check. (b) Employes [sic] will be paid semi-monthly through the Company's most convenient agent. Should the regular pay day fall on a holiday, they will be paid on the preceding day. (c) Employes [sic] leaving the service will, upon request, be promptly paid for all time due. (d) The Company will furnish employes [sic] with each pay check information as to the number of hours worked, rate of pay and amount and purpose of all deductions made. ARTICLE 16 Expense Due to the Exercise of Seniority The Company shall not be liable for any loss or expense resulting to any employe [sic] due to the exercise of the right of seniority hereunder, either by himslf or any other employe [sic].
