Postcard: Image of Interurban Building - Dallas, Texas |
Date |
ca 1922-1923 |
Scope & Content |
Reproduction Postcard showing image of the Interurban Building, Dallas, Texas. --46. The '46' in the description may indicate the postcard number. This postcard did not have writing on the reverse side. Note: The parlor car nearest to the left should have been rich crimson red; the other cars are pullman green with gold lining. The only parlor cars that were pullman green were the pioneer limited cars", which always had drumheads when in service". The car to the left in this post card lacks the drumhead and is way too dark in color to be pullman green as this is a hand colorization not a color developed film photo. Published by E. C. Kropp Co., Milwaukee; postcard number 26890N. E.C. Kropp was a printer and publisher that began producing chromolithographic souvenir cards and private mailing cards in 1898 under the name Kropp. The E.C. Kropp Company was later founded in 1907 in Milwaukee, Wis., and produced large numbers of national postcards and other subjects. The company moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1957. |
