(g) Employes [sic] notified or called to perform work not continuous with their regular assigned working hours will be allowed a minimum of two (2) hours at time and one-half rate for two (2) hours work, or less, and if held on duty in excess of two (2) hours, will be compensated on actual minute basis at time and one-half rate, such time to begin when reporting where instructed, and to end when released. (h) Extra board trainmen called and reporting for work will be paid for actual time worked, or held on duty, on the minute basis at their straight time rate, with a minimum of three (3) hours. Time allowed extra board trainmen within each Company working day in effect on the Division on which employed in excess of nine (9) hours and thirty (30) minutes will be paid for on the actual minute basis at time and one-half rate except 1.Time not actually worked but which is allowed when called and reporting to protect working or run lists; and 2.Time allowed when directed by the Company to deadhead. (See Article 41). (i) Employes [sic] will not be required to suspend work, after starting regular assigned working hours, for the purpose of absorbing overtime. (j) Where cotton loading is done outside ---12--- of regular assigned working hours and extra compensation is agreed upon between the Company and the employe [sic] performing the work, overtime will not apply. (k) No overtime will be worked without proper authority, except in case of emergency, when advanced authority is not obtainable. (l) The term "regular assigned working hours," as used in this agreement, means the time shown by working or run lists. (m) Assigned employes [sic] will be allowed a designated one (1) day off, without pay, in each calendar week (Sunday to Saturday, inclusive), and if the designated day off is worked by such employe [sic] time and one-half rate will be paid therefor. Substation operators will be allowed two (2) designated days off, without pay, in each half of the month as is now in effect. Extra trainmen will be allowed a day off, without pay, each week when practicable and when the requirements of the service permit, to be arranged by mutual understanding. When granted a day off each week, time and one-half will be allowed when required to work on such scheduled off day. The effective date of the above arrangement as it applies to trainmen will be February 1, 1947.
