This section includes notes about cars 603 and 604 within the 600 series. The notes are handwritten on the back of recycled paper. [Transcription of the handwritten notes:] [cont'd from CP.2006.CL.1-122 ZG] Express Trail Cars #603 - #604 603 - 604 very short trailers were built at Monroe many years after 1918 C.T. Dickenson 1/28/53 The following cars were built at Monroe between 1913 and 1941. 603 - Built 1924 604 - Built 1924 W Silvus 3/-/53 603 - 604 were very short, perhaps shorter than 618 - 619 - 620 C.T. Dickenson 3/-/53 603 and 604 were not built from old trailers, they were built on old style Box car - Archbar trucks, and some did ride rough. I think that (cement car #1052) was junked about the time that 603, 604 were being buit. C.T. Dickenson 4/8/53 Express trailers 603 - 604 were built new, body and trucks at Monroe in 1917 (No - C.T.D.) W Silvus 4/18/53 As you mentioned in one of your letters 603 - 604 may have been made about 1917 and later changed to about 607 - 609 or some larger numbers.
