This section includes notes about cars 322 / 323 / 324 within the 300-349 series. The notes are typed on the back of recycled paper. [Transcription of the typed notes:] Passenger Coach Motor #103 - #322 Passenger Coach Motor #104 - #323 Passenger Coach Motor #105 - #324 Dallas Southern Traction Company, in 1912, as part of its original and only equipment order, purchased six new 600 volt two-man passenger coach motors from Osgood-Bradley Car Company, of which #103, #104 and #105 were three. When Southern Traction Company purchased Dallas Southern Traction Company in 1912, these three cars, #103, #104 and #105, were placed in service as 600 volt two-man passenger coach motors, between Dallas and Waxahachie. After Southern Traction Company completed its line from Waxahachie to Waco in 1913, these three cars, #103, #104 and #105, were removed from service, given a coat of grey paint, and placed in storage at Monroe Shops. In 1917 these three cars, #103, #104, and #105, were transferred to the then formed Texas Electric Railway, shortly after which they were removed from storage, renumbered #322, #323 and #324 respectively, and assigned to work suburban service on the Trinity Heights line in Dallas. After the ending of World War I, these three cars, #322, #323, and #324, were lengthened by several feet, and were continued as 600 volt two-man passenger coach motors, and were assigned to the Dallas-Denison division. These three cars, #322, #323, and #324, were used as 600 volt two-man passenger coach motors until 1935, at which time they were scrapped and burned. |
