Occupation |
After his education, he worked for Denver, Utah & Pacific Railway in the track department. In 1889, he was with the Burlington & Missouri Railway Company as a telegraph operator. In 1890, he was assistant secretary with the Cannon Coal Company in Lafayette, CO. By 1892, he had moved to Mineral Wells, Texas and was an agent for the Mineral Wells & Northwestern Railway. Then he became joint agent for the Union Pacific and Denver & Rio Grande Railway in Hastings, CO. In 1893 he was the general freight and passenger agent in Weatherford for the Mineral Wells & Northern Railway; chief clerk to general manager, St. Louis, Kansas City & Colorado Railway; and general superintendant for Gulf & Brazos Valley Railway. He later became Assistant General Manager for Northern Texas Traction Company. |
