    This volume includes stations for the Erie branches between Meadville, Pa. & Marion, Ohio. These are "former individual railroads which were absorbed by the Erie to realize its ambition to reach Buffalo, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Chicago. This acquisition included the Dayton branch, of the Atlantic and Great Western R.R. and the Cleveland and Mahonig R.R. which became the Mahoning division.
