TER Express Motor 509 at Jenkins Substation - 1947
Texas Electric Railway Express Motor 509 travels southbound about a quarter mile up the right-of-way from Vickery to Richardson at Jenkins Substation. It's pulling a box or baggage trailer and is about to duck under the Southern Pacific. To the right is the Reynolds Children's home, which is now Presbyterian Hospital at Walnut Hill Lane, just east of Highway 75 and the present DART Rail Station. Note the Southern Pacific track in background....
