This is the story of three mountain railroads around Gold Hill and Cripple Creek, Colorado. They entered Cripple Creek from the north, east, and south. From the south was the Florence & Cripple Creek (narrow gauge); from the east was the Colorado Springs & Cripple Creek District (short line); and from the north was the Midland Terminal.
