STUDY PRINT: Dallas - Oriental Hotel Dallas Consolidated Street Railway Company streetcar 82 is in front of the six-storied Oriental Hotel. A second streetcar is on the cross street. The Oriental Hotel opened in 1893 at the corner of Akard and Commerce Streets in Dallas. Built at a cost of $500,000, it was considered the finest hotel in Dallas, even featuring electric elevators.
