Description |
SNAPSHOT: Texas Electric Railway Company Passenger Motor 351. This car was one of several that opened Texas Traction's line to Sherman. Originally numbered 1-10 and renumbered 350-359, all went through substantail rebuildings. Since they were 600 V cars, they were used exclusively on the Denison line. Taken at the Denison Terminal, this photograph shows the final configuration as a passenger motor. Arch roof, steel sheathing, squared windows, Brill 27MCB3 trucks in place of St. Louis 62's, folding doors and an end-for-end swap made to facilitate one-man operation all serve to severely disguise the origin of the car.
