Description |
Texas Electric Railway Company Line Car 900 in the Monroe Shops Yard. This car was used for working on overhead wires. Southern Traction Company, in 1913, as part of its original equipment order, purchased 1200 volt work motor 941 from American Car Company. In 1917, 941 was transferred to the then formed Texas Electric Railway, where it continued as the same type, under the same number. Sometime between 1917 and 1934, exact date unknown, the cab was extended. 941 was used as a 1200 volt work motor until 1934, at which time it was renumbered 900 and continued as a 1200 volt work motor.
