Texas Electric Railway Company Class A locomotive 801 in front of Electric Express Company freight terminal. The locomotive stands on the Young Street side; now the site of the Belo building. The roof and signage for Hotel Jefferson is seen in the background. The Electric Express and Baggage Company was organized by J. F. Strickland was set up to handle baggage and express on Strickland lines. The company was incorporated September 1, 1913. See: Map 8, Detail B |
