Description |
On the last day of passenger service, company official Horace G. Floyd (left), the shop superintendant for Texas Electric Railway, exchanges a symbolic handshake with an unidentified motorman. The men stand in front of Texas Electric Rail Passenger Motor 327 and it's replacement, Flxible bus 14 at the Dallas Interurban Terminal. This day marked the last day of operation for the rail line. The next morning would bring bus service to the interurban routes and a transportation era would pass into Texas history.
