Description |
'O' scale model of Texas Electric Railway Passenger Motor 365. The passenger motor has a red body with gold around the windows and a silver roof. Passenger Motor 365 was delivered new to Southern Traction Company as car #300. Early in it's life, it was the first passenger car to arrive in Corsicana when that line was opened. Then, on April 10, 1948, it was involved in the Vickery crash. Subsequent to the crash, Mr. Sturges was instructed to pick between cars 365 & 366 to see which one was to be rebuilt. Both seemed equally damaged. Car 365 was picked as a purely personal preference. When finished this car received more use up until time of abandonment, than any other car. Passenger Motor 365 was used to carry CERA Fan Trip participants on the Dallas-Denison line, July 4, 1948. A label on the undercarriage identifies Jean Deschenes as the builder; undated. |
