Franchise from The City of Dallas, Texas to Dallas Power & Light Company - Ordinance No. 3471 Passed by City Council, December 1st, 1943 This agreement was between Dallas Power & Light Company and the City of Dallas defining the terms of doing business for the involved parties. This hardcover agreement includes a front index (pages i-ix) and the actual franchise (pages 1-63). The franchise is comprised of an introduction and forty-two (42) sections that address all terms for doing business under the agreement. At the end of the document is a CERTIFICATE page, certifiying the franchise was read in the regular City Council meeting of November 10, 1943 and passed by affirmative vote of the Mayor and City Council. This is followed by an ACCEPTANCE page, whereby the President and General Manager of Dallas Power & Light Company accepts the franchise. The final page is an APPROVAL page whereby the Dallas City Council adopts a Resolution to accept the franchise on behalf of the City of Dallas. |
