John J. Myers was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University. Mr. Myers has been an active electric railway fan since early childhood and has amassed a large collection of photographs and objects connected with the Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas interurban systems. A dedicated hobbyist and railroad enthusiast, Mr. Myers has earned a PhD in Urban Transportation and authored a major work on the Texas Electric Railway. Mr. Myers spearheaded the work to restore Texas Electric Rail Car at the Interurban Railway Museum. |
