    SNAPSHOT: Texas Electric Railway Passenger Motor II 356, known as a 'Golden Rod' sits on shop trucks in the yard, just south of the Monroe Shops Carbarn. Behind it is one of the 322-324 series--the original Dallas Southern Traction Company cars. II356 was formerly Passenger Trail Car 408, converted to a motor in 1924 and placed out-of-service in 1938.
